I hardly have time to do private or portfolio artwork, so I finished this one between jobs. It is inspired by the covers of pulp crime novels and magazines of the 1930th. Initially I thought about doing something like a James Bond like image with a dangerous sexy spy girl character for my portfolio, but I ended up with an image that more or less has the attitude of a detective magazines cover.
